I haven't visited the dentist in ages. Should I be worried?
You would be surprised at how many people have avoided the dentist for years. The reasons are understandable:
- Poor experiences at the dentist in the past
- Lack of dental benefits through work
- Worries about the cost of procedures
- No current pain or noticeable symptoms of decay and gum disease
- Deferral of suspected but unconfirmed bad news
- Difficulty booking an appointment around your busy schedule
Or maybe you’ve just fallen out of the habit? No matter the reason, we understand. That’s why we’ve set up our business to be a different kind of dental office. We try our best to create an pleasant and inviting atmosphere, one you’ll be excited to return to. We offer evening and weekend appointments to better suit your schedule. Our zero-obligation dental consultations allow you to come in and talk to one of our dentists before committing to a treatment plan. And with our deferred monthly financing options, it’s easier than ever before to afford regular dental services even for those without benefits.
So if it’s been a while since you last sat in a dental chair, let’s change that! Proper treatment today leads to better health in the future.
What are dental veneers?
Dental veneers are the secret behind those famous Hollywood smiles. Simply put, they are very thin shells which are attached to the front of your teeth. Custom made from either porcelain or composite resin, veneers help to cover up cosmetic flaws such as gaps between teeth, uneven tooth lengths, or chipped and broken teeth. Dental veneers are applied over one or two sessions and are selected to match the colour of surrounding teeth for a very natural look. A small layer of enamel is removed by the dentist to make room for the veneers. For this reason, veneer treatment is not reversible.
For practical reasons, not everyone is eligible for dental veneers. Consult with your dentist to see which cosmetic treatment is best for you.
Do you accept walk-ins? How far in advance do I need to book an appointment?
We don’t accept walk-in appointments for a few reasons:
- To allow for proper staff scheduling and preparation for patient visits
- To keep our schedule open enough for emergency dental treatment
That said, our booking procedure is very efficient. Request your next checkup by phoning the location of your choice or by filling out our online dental appointment form. Depending on our existing appointments we can likely schedule you in within the next two weeks for a routine teeth cleaning, and sooner for dental emergencies that require treatment right away.
During your appointment you’ll have the opportunity to book your next visit.
I've never visited Hello Dental before. Do you accept new patients?
We certainly do! Hello Dental is relatively new to the Edmonton area, so we are actively seeking new patients. Unless your old dentist retired or you’ve moved to a new city, most people stay with the same dentist for as long as possible. We get that. We’re all creatures of routine.
But if you’re new to the area, or if you simply wish to try out a new clinic, book an appointment with us today. Let us show you a better way to a brighter smile. Our staff will create a new patient file for you and help set up your billing and insurance plans. If you like us, great! We’d love to have you as a regular patient. If you need to return to your regular practitioner, we understand that, too. Either way, keep taking great care of your teeth!
